Repeat Prescriptions

You will be given a repeat prescription if your doctor thinks it is advisable.

Repeat prescription requests can be made as follows:

  • Handing in to reception or placing in the box at reception
  • Posting (please include SAE if you wish script to be posted back to you)
  • Online - ask at reception for details on registering. Once registered you can order via the link at the top of this page.
  • Some local pharmacies also operate a delivery service

Our legal obligations do not allow us to accept repeat prescriptions over the telephone as this can lead to dangerous errors.

Please allow 48 hours for collection of repeat scripts from the surgery or 72 hours for collection of medication from a pharmacy (please remember to state which pharmacy you wish to use).

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
